Outline Considering the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz constraining LNG exports from Qatar and the UAE, and the damage to Qatar's LNG facilities by Iranian attacks, it is difficult to imagine swift stabilization of the global LNG market, whether the blockade will continue or be lifted. Furthermore, the possible impact of the EU's policy to phase out Russian LNG and the Australian domestic gas reserve scheme on the market should also be closely watched. In the current Middle East situation, the LNG shortage has already become apparent, especially in South Asia. Closer dialogue and strengthened cooperation between LNG exporting and importing countries are required for the stabilization of the market.
